Inter-island crossing is when the renter crosses between different islands of the same country in the rental vehicle.
It may also refer to crossing between the mainland and islands of the same country.
You may have to get special permission from the supplier to cross between islands. The supplier may also charge a fee for it. Or they may require you to purchase special coverage.
