International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a trade association of the world’s airlines. The aim of this association is to represent the interests of airlines across the globe, stand for sensible regulations, and to hold regulators and governments on account.
In the context of car rental, IATA also provides standards and codes for airports and railway stations. These codes can be used to indicate car rental locations.
