A user story is a short and informal description of a feature (improvement, functionality, etc.) of a software system. It is told from the perspective of a person who desires the new capability, usually an end-user. The most common user story template is:
As a < user type >, I want < goal > so that < receive benefit >.
These stories help to define the tasks and functionalities that need to be done. They describe what the user is trying to accomplish, helping the product team understand what the product needs to help them do.
